Afro-American
Museum The California African American Museum is a State of California
department established by the State legislature in 1977 and part of the
State and Consumer Services Agency. One of only four State museums in
California, it opened its doors to the public in temporary quarters in
1981. In the summer of 1984, through a combination of public and private
funds, and accompanied by the celebration of the Olympic Games held in
Los Angeles, the Museum opened in its own 44,000 square foot facility

Founded in 1969, the Louis B. Mayer Library is designed and devoted
to serve the research needs of the staff of the American Film Institute
and the faculty and fellows of the AFI Conservatory. The library is also

- a virtual castle perched upon the hill, some 250 feet above Hollywood
Boulevard.This is Yamashiro. The name means "Mountain Palace"

roof - at first glance, it most resembles an average California tract

Mall is a combination of unique shops, restaurants, clubs, live
theatre and even a Hollywood costume museum. It is a massive, spectacular
project that occupies almost two city blocks in the heart of Hollywood.

cattycornered to the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel and actually surrounding

Cineramadome Hollywood Arclight
Cineramadome The newly refurbished and expanded ArcLight Cinema
complex is built around and ncorporates the famous landmark Cinerama Dome
theater. The Cinerama Dome with its 316 hexagons and pentagons was built
in sixteen weeks in 1963 and opened with Stanley Kramer's "It's a
Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World." Oddly enough, although accommodations
were made to show three projector Cinerama movies, by the time the Dome
